Description

Jessica Tibbs stops a highwayman from robbing a lady by the expedient of shooting him, then escorts the elderly woman to her son’s estate where she hopes to find paying work. Though thankful for Jessica’s help and impressed with her independence, Harrison Weston is worried that his younger brother was the highwayman. Once the fake robbery is revealed and Terry is on the mend, they try to discover via a possible treasure map what happened to Lady Weston’s jewels. In the meantime Jessica helps with the sheep, showing Harrison how to save his estate without selling his mother’s jewelry. Just as he proposes marriage to Jessica, her irate brother appears, ready to drag her away.
