Description

The spate of deaths and horrifying illnesses that hits the village in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia causes some of the homeowners to suspect the new arrival to be—somehow—responsible. Others in the community wonder how and why the amiable Sen Smith, who is pushing his community ‘clubs’ so assiduously, would do such things. However, as the afflictions affect more and more of the neighbors, a petition to cast him out is in the works. But would expelling Sen put an end to the suffering or bring about more? ‘Dying to Meet the Newcomer’ is an unconventional mystery which invites the reader to consider whether the turn of events is causative or coincidental—or something else entirely.
