Shra, a gentle young octopus, has seen her cherished coral reef home in the Caribbean fall prey to the malevolent presence of a monstrous moray eel named Mung, who, unlike other predators, hunts and kills for sheer pleasure and dominance over others. To oppose Mung is certain death, and when Shra’s beloved mate is slain and devoured horribly by the sadistic moray, she tries rallying others into helping rid themselves of the menace that has warped their once balanced and natural world. Few harbor the innards to defy such a terrifying adversary as Mung. Shra faces the added trauma of realizing she might well be on her own, facing a gruesome peril, suffering the same cruel fate as her slaughtered mate.
