Description

French emissary Stephen Picard has a double mission to King Edward’s court, officially working on a treaty between their two countries while clandestinely assessing support for restoration of Lancastrian King Henry to the throne. Luciana Howard, personal attendant to the English queen, spots a handsome, mysterious man at a court masquerade and recognizes him the next morning at his introduction to the court. Asked to act as official scribe for the treaty talks, she happily agrees. Only she isn’t just a scribe.
